Hydroshpere

Picture
  • Mars' hydrosphere is much like earths except it is now frozen .
  • Mars used to have running water but now it is in frozen bunches of ice.
  • There are two polar ice caps on Mars, northern polar cap (Planum Boreum), and the southern polar cap (Planum Australe)

Picture
  • There is very minimal water vapor in the atmosphere, just enough to create ice clouds.
  • There is a theory that there is running water under ground but it is still being researched.
  • Signs of water on mars is certain. (check bio for more info)
  • running water no longer is on mars, it is now frozen in polar ice caps and other ice lakes and patches.

  • signs of erosion show that running water was on mars.
  •  Water on mars is too salty and has other chemicals in the water so therefore its not drinkable.
  • watch the video for an animation of the erosion.

Mars' water is different from Earth's because Mars' water has a lot of carbon in it.
